A quality 130 second general purpose x-ray film processor ideal for low volume use.

This Mini-Medical system includes the processor with the daylight tight (zero light) film loader, transport case (doubles as a stand in the field) two complete sets of replenishment tanks film storage bin, hardware, necessary hoses and two manuals.

The Mini Medical Processor will develop, fix,
wash and dry exposed RP type medical X-ray films of all sizes from 4" x 4".
(10 x 10 cm) to 14" x 36" (35 x 91 cm). Base thickness for film is 0.0004
- 0.008".

Hourly production capacity of 14 x 17" (35 x 45 cm) sheets of film, at the indicated, pre-set, lead edge into the lead edge out time of 90 seconds, is 85 sheets per hour. The dry to dry time for a single 14" x 17" sheet of film is 120 seconds.
Four removable roller transport modules transport the film being processed through the developer, fixer, wash and dryer section.

The developer, fixer and wash sections make use of the "deep Tank" transports to maintain developing quality and improve productivity. The dryer section includes a long path length vertical dryer to assure film drying at short developing times, reduce space requirements and return the film to the operator's position for easy of pickup.

All transport and rollers in the wet section and dryer are driven from a common drive shaft powered by a fractional horsepower AC motor.
For ease of use, and accuracy of processing, developing times and developing temperatures are factory set at 22 seconds at 95 degrees. The control panel can adjust the developer solution from 80 to 110 degrees F (26.8 - 37.7 C). The washing fluid is at kept at ambient temperature.

The internal replenishing system consists of two, 1 gallon replenisher bottles, one each for the developer and fixer and one, 2.2 gallon replenisher bottle for the wash are located inside the base of the processor and are an integral part of the machine. Solutions are delivered to the working tanks by the means of three self-priming pumps. These are also located in the base of the processor and as such, are an integral part of the machine.
Two IR lamps with air circulation blowers and over-temperature safety shut-off thermostat which is set at 130 degrees F (54.5 C) facilitate quick and even drying.
Environmental Operating Conditions.

This imager was built in 1996 and was stored in a climate controlled warehouse IN the airtight transit container.
It has never been used and is brand-new.
A quality X-Ray film processor
built and priced to make in-house film developing cost-effective for small
offices, clinics, satellite health care facilities, and mobile
installations.
The MINI-MED has been designed to include many time, space, and money saving
features found in higher priced models.
The MINI-MED is setting a new standard for tabletop film processors.
SIMPLE OPERATION
A single switch activates the MINI-MED. Ease of operation makes the unit simple for all staff members to use.
SPACE SAVING SIZE
The AFP MINI-MED requires a minimum of precious darkroom space; it measures only 33' x 22' x 24' overall, with only a 21" footprint. Processed film exits from the top, back to the operator, allowing the unit to fit handily into corners or flush against walls. With the daylight loader, this increases to 46 x 30 x 28".
RELIABLE
The entire drive system is designed to take advantage of AFP's technological advances. Our tank system now features a completely new molded plastic uni-body design. A capacitor start motor assures quiet and reliable operation. Worm drive greatly reduces the load on the drive system and extends motor life. A reliable electromechanical film detector allows the MINI-MED to accept all standard sizes and colors of X-Ray film.
Shown here without daylight loader attached.
QUICK AND VERSATILE
The MINI-MED handles films as small as 4 inches and as large as 14" x 36" and can process 55 14" x 17" films per hour. An optional "No Plumbing" Kit allows the unit to function on self-contained chemicals, making the AFP MINI-MED ideal for mobile installations or in areas of strict EPA regulations regarding processor effluent disposal.
AFP MINI-MED FEATURES BUILT-IN QUALITY CONTROL
Audible and visual indicators add to operator convenience by signalling when the processor is ready to accept another film.
DEVELOPER LEVEL AND TEMPERATURE INDICATOR
Two separate indicator lights let the operator know the developer solution is at the proper level and that it has reached the optimum temperature for film processing.
CONSTANT READINESS DESIGN
A special "jog" cycle keeps rollers wet while the machine is in standby, thus guaranteeing quality processing throughout the day.
Complete with 2 manuals, a SPARE set of reservoirs, funnels and hose
AUTOMATIC CHEMICAL REPLENISHER
An electronic activating system replenishes solutions automatically keeping all chemicals used in the MINI-MED at peak operating efficiency.
INTERLOCKING CROSSOVER
Films travel from tank to tank with minimum exposure to air. The tank's new molded plastic uni-body design and the interlocking design of each rack simplify removal.
AUTOMATIC WASH WATER CONTROL
Minimizes the consumption os water by eliminating flow during standby mode. Approximately 1 pint of fresh water is added during each "jog" cycle to eliminate algae problems associated with standing water.
INFRARED DRYER
Energy efficient "I.R. heat lamps" dry each film quickly and quietly. "Pivot-back" dryer rack enables easy access to wash section.

Comes in Heavy-Duty Weatherproof Storage and Transport Case.
SIMPLE INSTALLATION
The AFP MINI-MED runs on standard electrical current (115V) and requires only a cold water line connection. The unit is UL approved.
AUTOMATIC STANDBY
During periods of inactivity, the drive motor and pumps shut off automatically reducing energy consumption and mechanical wear. Temperatures are maintained electronically.
LIGHT PROOF COVERED FEED TRAY
Reduces time in the dark.
SILVER RECOVERY CONNECTION
Fixer drainage hose fittings are compatible with most standard silver recovery units.
SOLID STATE CIRCUITRY
Modular, state-of-the-art electronics are designed to assure reliable operation with minimal start-up and reset times. New audible tone alerts operator that processor is ready to accept another film.
